Mounted Movement Program

A Somatic Experience of Connection, Emotion, and Embodied Riding

Mounted Movement is not a traditional riding school, and it’s not clinical therapeutic riding—it’s something entirely different. Rooted in awareness, emotional well-being, and mutual respect, this program offers a space where both human and horse can co-regulate, connect, and move together.

Rather than focusing on learning to walk, trot, or canter, we explore the experience of being with a horse—attuning to the body's natural rhythms, emotions, and breath. Through intentional posture, balance, and movement, participants learn to release tension, regulate emotions, and cultivate a profound sense of embodied presence.

Children and Adults (there is a weight limit of no more than 175pds)

  • Neurodivergent individuals
including those with autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, and anxiety—offering tools for emotional regulation, proprioceptive input, and co-regulation in a calming environment.

  • People experiencing chronic stress, trauma, or burnout
who are looking for gentle, embodied ways to reconnect with their bodies, release tension, and feel grounded.

  • Highly sensitive individuals or empaths
who benefit from quiet, attuned spaces where their nervous system can settle, and where relationships are built through mutual respect and presence.

  • Those seeking somatic support for emotional health
including people working through grief, emotional dysregulation, or life transitions. Mounted Movement offers a space to breathe, move, and feel again.

  • Horse lovers who don’t want a traditional riding lesson
but still want to engage in meaningful, body-based learning with horses in a way that honors the relationship and rhythm.

  • Children and teens needing confidence, body awareness, and emotional tools
in a playful but structured setting that includes movement, animal connection, and nervous system support.
