What To Expect
Each day at camp will follow the same routine, which can be provided upon request ahead of time if that is helpful for your family’s preparations. Activities will vary from day to day, but they will all be focused on using and recognizing body language as communication, utilizing body cues (expression) to show and identify emotions, and taking different perspectives to help gain an understanding of how both horses and humans communicate! Activities will include equine education, games, groundwork, horsemanship skills, husbandry skills, and more, so children will be able to experience a variety of ways we interact with and care for horses.

What To Bring
Children should come to camp with a full water bottle, a snack,  comfortable weather appropriate clothing that can (and most certainly will) get dirty, and closed toed shoes (no Crocs). Additionally, campers are encouraged to wear sunscreen each day (to be applied by parents prior to the beginning of camp), and/or bring a hat. Fidgets are welcome as long as they are used appropriately; if they become a safety issue, they will need to be put away.

The cost of one session of camp is $325.  Payment in full is expected at time of registration.  Payment reserves your child’s spot on the camp roster and is non-refundable.  In certain circumstances, if Happy Hooves Equine deems it necessary to cancel camps, full refunds will be issued.
